Pocket Watch WIP #3 – Back

This is the back of the pocket watch.

As you can see, I’m going for the grubby copper look – since well, using gold as a material where steam is involved is plain silly.

I already have the rest of the watch painted a metallic copper, but I don’t think i’ll put the dirty-coal look on so thick on the front as I’ve done here.

This backing still isn’t complete though – the central part is just too empty, got ideas but don’t have the materials.

Pocket Watch WIP

This is an old pocket watch I bought from the markets. It’s sitting around with a dead battery for ages now and I figured I’d do some work on it.

I suppose I’m trying to go for a steampunk look.

The irony is that I’m trying to buy some spare watch parts (cogs and what-not) to make it look the part.

And yes, that’s the original face on in the bottom righthand corner – all mangled and full of holes.
